Daniele Quercioli received his Master’s degrees cum laude in Computer Science at the University of Bologna, and has licensed to the profession of ICT Engineer at the University of Pisa.
Since the activity of Master's thesis carried out at the Department of Physics of the University of Bologna, his scientific training is focused in the field of machine learning and DNA Microarray data analysis. He has worked as a consultant in several scientific research projects on behalf of the Center for Environmental Carcinogenesis and Risk Assessment of the Environmental Protection and Health Prevention Emilia-Romagna Agency, and the Cancer Research Section of the Department of Experimental Pathology of the University of Bologna, dealing with machine learning, data mining, and statistical data analysis. He has also done freelance work in IT projects on behalf of Environmental Protection and Health Prevention Emilia-Romagna Agency, and Local Health Unit of Bologna. Currently at Business Intelligence Group of the University of Bologna, he is mainly engaged in the field of location intelligence in Big Data context.
